MATAPOS kumpirmahin ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) na walang Pilipino na nagngangalang Mary Grace and Piattos at Kokoy Villamin, pinabeberipika na rin ng Kamara sa nasabing ahensya ang lahat taong tumanggap ng confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) at Department of Education (DepEd).

“The revelation that Mary Grace Piattos is a fictitious identity raises serious red flags. The PSA must immediately audit and verify all the names appearing in the ARs submitted by the OVP to the Commission on Audit (COA),” ani Deputy Majority Leader Paolo Ortega V.

Walang eksaktong bilang ng mga taong tumanggap ng confidential funds subalit sa imbestigasyon ng House committee on good government and public accountability, mahigit 1,200 acknowledgement receipt (AR) ang kanilang sinusuri.

Sinabi ng mambabatas na kung gawa-gawa o imbento lamang ang pangalan nina Mary Grace Piattos at Kokoy Villamin, hindi malayong marami ding peke sa mga pumirma o pinapirma ng OVP at DepEd sa kanilang AR.

Dahil dito, isusumite umano ng komite sa PSA ang mga pangalan ng mga lumagda sa AR na patunay na tumanggap ang mga ito ng confidential funds mula sa tanggapan ni Vice President Sara Duterte.

“If one name was falsified, it is not unreasonable to suspect that other receipts may also contain fictitious names. Kung gawa-gawa si Mary Grace Piattos, ano pa ang totoo sa mga dokumentong ito? We need to ensure that every peso spent is accounted for and supported by truthful, verifiable records,” dagdag pa ng mambabatas.

Noong 2022, binigyan ng P125 million na confidential funds si Duterte na nagastos umano sa loob ng 11 araw lamang habang noong 2022, P500 million ang ibinigay sa OVP at P150 million sa DepEd.

Sa nasabing halaga, P612.5 million ang ang nagastos umano ni Duterte subalit pinagdududahan kung nagamit ito ng maayos na pinatibay ng report ng PSA na hindi totoo sina Mary Grace Piattos at Kokoy Villamin. (BERNARD TAGUINOD)
